Our students range in age from fourteen to eighty. Some of them are contractors, architects, and engineers while others have never picked up a hammer.

No matter what you bring to the course, Shelter Institute classes will empower you.

Our graduates have built thousands of homes all over the world, and students can receive credit toward college degrees, teacher certification, and real estate certification. Many of our courses qualify for tax credit and state or VA job training reimbursement programs.

Shelter Institute offers a wide variety of courses ranging in length and hands-on opportunity. In our classes we take apart the building process and teach each step individually. Students walk away from the course with the design tools necessary to build a house.
